Interest rates in Colorado are at an all-time low, but can we expect this trend to continue into the future? We have compiled current rates as well as forecasts from a number of credible sources to answer this question.
At this time, the consensus opinion appears to be that, for the year, rates will stay in the general range they are in now: approximately 4.5% for a 30 year loan with a 20% down payment.
Despite this consensus, we would still expect fluctuations in the >25% range up or down from this point. Going beyond this year, we would anticipate a somewhat steady increase in rates toward more historically “normal” levels.
